Technical process introduction
 
spodumene ore processing is affected by many factors. Such as ore type, mineral symbiosis, distribution characteristics and ore grade. At present, the separation methods of spodumene mainly include flotation method, hand separation method, hot cracking method, dense suspension liquid method and combined ore processing method.
 
Technical process
 
Our company has carried out a large number of experimental studies on the representative c in different areas, and according to the different mineral properties and occurrence status of spodumene and gangue minerals, we have improved the adaptability of the current dense medium separation technology, and determined a kind of dense media & flotation separation process of spodumene. Good results have been obtained through production practice.
 
 
Applied case
 
A certain spodumene ore in Canada, the raw ore grade is 1.19%, the sample crushing to 6-0.5mm, After dense medium separation, the concentrate grade is 6.56%, the recovery rate is 83.97%, among which the dense medium separation tailing grade is 0.23%, the ore can be directly cast tail through dense medium separation. The quality of concentrate reaches the quality standard of grade I spodumene concentrate.
A certain spodumene ore in Xinjiang has raw ore grade of 1.49%. Through dense medium separation, the concentrate grade Li2O is 5.78% and the concentrate recovery rate is 83.05%. The tailings productivity is 76.19% and the tailing grade is 0.37% which can be directly abandoned.
A certain spodumene ore in Sichuan province, the raw ore grade is 1.14%. Through dense medium dressing, the concentrate grade is 5.09% and the recovery rate is 45.70%. the tailings productivity is 30%, tailings’ grade 0.30%. Through dense medium dressing, can obtain a part of qualified concentrate products, cast away 30% of the tailings products, the middlings products enter into the ball mill to grind, through flotation, that is, the dense medium &flotation separation process to deal with the ore.
Through a large number of tests on different ores, the confirmed combined dense medium and flotation separation process has great advantages over the conventional flotation process, the ore can be separated at coarser particle size, and high quality concentrate products can be obtained. In view of the easily separated ore, only the dense medium separation process can be used to process the ore. For medium separation ore and difficult ore, dense medium ore separation process can obtain some high grade concentrate products, and can remove part of the tailings, the higher grade products need to be put into the ball mill, recover through flotation.
The combined dense medium and flotation separation process is a kind of excellent technology for spodumene ore, which has a strong adaptability to most ores.
