A brief introduction to the differences between a heavy-duty feeder and a chain conveyor.
1. Did you know there’s a difference between the heavy-duty chain plate feeder and the chain conveyor?
Chain plates and chain conveyors—these two types of conveyors, from a professional standpoint, do indeed differ. And the difference is quite obvious. That’s because the chain plates used in chain-plate conveyors are a combination of chains and chain plates. The chains themselves are not like that. Moreover, in terms of load-carrying capacity, chain-plate conveyors outperform chain conveyors.

II. Moreover, what are the four types of conventional chain conveyors?
The specific applications of heavy-duty feeding machines include the conveyance of roller-shaped, lump-shaped, and block-shaped chips, as well as other metallic materials. Generally, chain conveyors fall into four categories: chain plate conveyors, mesh belt conveyors, insert-line conveyors, and suspended-chain conveyors.
3. Why is the blade shaft in a screw conveyor made of material?
In screw conveyors, the blade shafts are made of either 304 stainless steel or 16Mn steel. Considering the corrosion resistance and temperature requirements of the conveyed medium, and taking into account the need to select a material with excellent wear resistance for media that require 3.4 stainless steel, we have chosen 16Mn steel.
The materials conveyed by heavy-duty apron feeders generally need to take into account the materials’ general characteristics, density, particle size, whether they contain oil or chemicals, and so forth. The degree of corrosivity of the materials can affect the service life of the conveyor belt on chain-plate conveyors. In general, conveyors have a limited tensile strength; if the specific gravity of the material is relatively high and the conveyor cannot withstand the tensile forces generated during operation, the conveyor is prone to breakage.
What are the different types of structures for heavy-duty feeding machines?
Heavy-duty conveyor systems are used for transporting heavy objects, including various motorcycle and automobile final assembly lines, welding conveyors, as well as conveyors for different types of brakes, engine chain plate conveyors, starter chain plate conveyors, and generator components. When it is necessary to protect the surface of workpieces, the conveyor panels can be made of plastic or feature metal panels with rubber sheets adhered to their surfaces. The main structural types of chain plate conveyor systems are steel structures and aluminum profile structures. The spacing between conveyor chains can range from 38.1 mm to 200 mm. These chain plate conveyors use chains with large-pitch pin-valve curved plates as the conveying medium, which drive metal plates in a reciprocating motion. The speed of the chain plate conveyor line can be adjusted accordingly. Depending on the working environment and production process requirements, spiral-type designs are employed for detecting defects in air-conditioner chain plate conveyors and refrigerator chain plate conveyors.
Through the introduction above, we’ve surely gained a certain understanding of the structure of heavy-material feeding machines. When making your selection, you’ll undoubtedly choose the right equipment. Well then, that’s all for today’s introduction.
