The regeneration of desorbed carbon is carried out in two steps: the first step involves acid pickling and passivation. After prolonged desorption, the activity of fresh carbon typically declines, reducing its capacity to adsorb gold. The second step—acid pickling and passivation—is then performed to remove the inorganic substances adsorbed onto the carbon, thereby restoring its adsorption activity. Depending on the properties of the iron ore, Jinpeng Mining Machinery can generally subject fresh carbon to acid pickling and passivation 6 to 7 times. However, if further attempts at acid pickling and passivation fail to significantly enhance its activity, a second process—ice-based regeneration—must be employed. Subsequently, grinding equipment and associated auxiliary devices are installed to pre-grind the carbon, removing bevels and sharp edges. The material then passes through a linear screen for further screening. The carbon that meets the specified standards is returned to the leaching and adsorption system or sealed in bags for storage. Fine carbon particles, which contain some gold, are collected and treated centrally along with fine carbon produced through acid passivation and other processing steps.
