Technical process introduction

 

Barite is fragile and brittle, and the crystals are large tubes.The processing methods of barite include gravity separation, magnetic separation and flotation.

 

Technical process flowsheet

 

1. Gravity separation :

The usual way is crushing, screening, jigging separation process, to obtain high grade concentrate, the product grade can reach more than 80%.

 

2. Magnetic separation: 

Wet magnetic separator is usually used to select some iron containing materials such as siderite, which is used for barite raw materials for barium based medicines with very low iron content.

 

3. Flotation: 

Flotation is often used for the separation of barite ore with very fine grain size and its gravity tailings. According to the different adsorption methods, the barite ore was flotation by using fatty acid alkyl sulfate, alkyl sulfonate and other anionic collectors or cationic amine collectors.
